The Initiative Charter Defines Four Integrated areas of Work
Financial Support
Facilitate financing for eligible projects through the Initiative Fund, innovative and blended finance mechanisms, and connections between projects, investors and appropriate funding sources.
Technical Support
Provide specialised expertise, build capacity, transfer knowledge and technologies, and support the exchange of successful practices among Member Countries.
Project Development and Implementation
Support projects at every stage, from selection, scoping and design through implementation, results monitoring and reporting.
Governance and Oversight
Provide a regional framework for decision-making and oversight of the Initiative's activities and projects, strengthening coordination, transparency and accountability among Member Countries.
