Member Countries
More than 34 Member Countries
Participating in the Middle East Green Initiative
The Initiative focuses on geographies most exposed to land degradation, desertification and climate vulnerability. Its geographic scope encompasses Central Asia, West and South Asia, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Initiative brings together regional Member Countries that share environmental challenges and development priorities. It also provides pathways for contributors from outside the regional scope, as well as international organisations, financial institutions and partners, to support its objectives.
Member Countries are central to the Initiative's operating model: they set priorities, submit projects, coordinate implementation and report on progress through the Initiative's governance and coordination mechanisms.

Collaboration among Member Countries
The Initiative's framework enables Member Countries to align efforts, share expertise and develop joint projects to address cross-border challenges.
